Peplow Community Walk

Another Road Closure in Marchamley – 1 Sep. 15

Shropshire Council has announced a planned road closure of another road in Marchamley from Tuesday 1st September for fourteen days. The work is to allow for the installation of a new water main.
As with the previous road closure (see here) local residents may not recognise the description used in this PDF file to identify the location (see item 256). The closure is described as being “White House junction A442 to Hill Cottage junction, Marchamley” with the diversion being “East on C2073 , right onto A442 junction Hodnet to B5065 junction Dairy House, right onto White House Jct A442 to Hill Cottage Jct and vice versa.”

According to the documentation there will be no access through the closure for pedestrians, cyclists or horse riders.

Hodnet Medical Centre – CQC Report Available

Hodnet Medical CentreHodnet Medical Centre has today (25 Aug. 2015) provided a link on its website to the on-line version of its recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) Report.
The announcement was made on this post, but the link to the report can be accessed directly from this page.
The report is also available as a PDF file running to 26 A4 pages – though the text is in a larger than average font size.
The CQC carried out their inspection on 29 June and the report was published on 20 August.
Overall the surgery and the service it provides was rated as “Good”, with just practices within the dispensary being identified as needing improvement.
All the CQC ratings of specific services were said to be “Good” with the exception of those provided for older people, which are considered to be “Outstanding”.

Road to Weston Closed from 24 Aug. 15

Shropshire Council has announced a planned road closure on the Weston/Wem Road from Monday 24 Aug. for five days. The work is to allow for the installation of a new water main.
In a PDF file listing planned road closures the location of the closure is described as, “From A442 junction Hodnet to B5065 junction Dairy House , Marchamley (from Jct C2073 to OS Paradise Lodge).” The Hodnet to Marchamley road is no longer classified as the A442, and not everyone may recognise the description used to identify the location.
