Hodnet Medical Centre Discontinues Travel Clinics

Hodnet Medical CentreHodnet Medical Centre has today (2 Sept. 2015) has updated information on travel clinics on its website.
Information on this page explains that they are no longer able to provide a comprehensive travel service.  The reason given is travel clinics are a highly specialised non-NHS service, and due to increasing demands on the practice, they are unable to maintain this service.
The Centre will however continue to provide the following travel vaccinations which are available on the NHS. These are Hepatitis A,  Typhoid and  Cholera (though the latter is not indicated for most travellers).
Please see the relevant page on the Centre’s website as the above vaccinations cannot be provided without relevant documents being provided by the patient.

Hodnet Medical CentreHodnet Medical Centre has announced here on its website that it will be closed in the afternoon to enable doctors, nursing staff and admin staff to participate in essential training.
Anyone requiring urgent medical attention whilst the surgery is closed on that date should call Shropdoc on 08444-068888.

Antiques Valuation Day – October 2015

From 10.00am – 3.00 pm, Thursday 15th October, at The Bear, Hodnet.
Free valuations of collectables, jewellery, ceramics and other antiques.
Hansons and The Bear both support the Midlands Air Ambulance Service and donations can be made on the day.
Items can be accepted into forthcoming Hansons Auctions.
