Shropshire Council announced today, 12 January 2022, that they have repaired 20,156 potholes across the county since April 2021.
In addition, 49 stretches of road across Shropshire – measuring 143km – are being resurfaced between November 2021 and March 2022 as part of the council’s annual resurfacing programme – work that will help to prevent potholes forming in future.
The roads for which work is due to start this month and which will impact Hodnet and the surrounding area the most are:
- 10 to 24 January – A41 Whitchurch bypass, from Chester Rd Island to A525 Wrexham Rd Island. Work will take place overnight (8pm to 6am).
- 20 to 30 January – Quarry View To 30mph start, A49 Preston Brockhurst Junction
