Next HFG Walk – 6th August 2024

Our next organised public walk is on Tuesday August 6th, starting at 10.00 a.m.

We will be walking the route of Hodnet Walk 6 ‘Hodnet to Fauls, the “Two Parishes Walk’

This is one of our longer circular walks – of about 8 miles and with lots of stiles. Taking 3-4 hours, there are some fine views as you pass through the surrounding varied countryside.

Meet at The Lyon Hall Hodnet (free parking, or also along Hearne Lane opposite), we will walk up Hearne Lane and walk across fields to Long Lane, then to Wood Lane and on to Fauls.

Note. If you wish to do a shorter route (3m) you could car share and leave a car parked on the roadside at Fauls Church.

From Fauls we walk along Mickley Lane to Upper Mickley then start  heading back across fields towards Moat Farm on Wood Lane, after which we head back to Long Lane and retrace our steps to Hodnet. 

For those interested, we will taking some light refreshments at The Bear afterwards.
