The A41 will be closed from 09.30 27th May until 16.00 28th May between Bletchley Dual Carriageway End and Upper College Junction – through Sandford. This is for urgent repairs to carriageway defects.
The usual optimistically planned diversion will be in place, using the A53 and A49.
Traffic will, therefore, be significantly heavier in surrounding villages and on minor roads – please take care.
Severn Trent Water will be working outside the United Milking Systems site on the A53 close to the Tern Hill roundabout.
There will be two-way traffic signals and delays are inevitable.
Between the nursing home and Mytton Road, for surface dressing.
The closure information says that the closure will be ‘all the time’ and then gives a variety of dates when different work will be done before adding that the work is weather dependent and dates are subject to change!
The planned diversion is via the A49 and A41, so it is likely that traffic will be busier along quiet country lanes; do take care.
There will be a lane closure, Northbound, of the Bletchley dual carriageway as well as two-way signals between Tern Hill roundabout and the start of the dual carriageway.
Delays are likely.

In Shawbury, between 09.30 and 16.00 each day, for urgent carriageway repairs. Access will be available to buses, emergency vehicles, local businesses and residents.
There is the usual long diversion via the A41 & A49. Take care on local roads.
Abbots Way is due to be closed to enable Western Power to dig a long trench in the road and verge to divert a cable.

The diversion route is the usual long A53/A49 one. It’s likely therefore that there will be increased traffic on local roads, particularly through Hodnet and Marchamley, so do take extra care.
The A49 will be closed between 09.30 and 16.00 from Grinshill Junction to Lee Brockhurst Junction for the urgent repair of carriageway defects.
Apparently access will be given to HGVs, buses and emergency vehicles as well as to local businesses.
The optimistically posted diversion route is via the A53/A41 so take care on local roads, especially for increased traffic through Hodnet and Marchamley.
