Advance Notice: A41 to be resurfaced 11 – 30 July 2022
The section of the A41 From Bletchley Dual End to Upper College junction is scheduled to be resurfaced. We all know lorry drivers won’t follow the diversion signs and will take short cuts through the villages and lanes, so do take care.
Closure of A442 From Wrekin District Council Boundary To Radmoor Crossroads
The A442 will be closed from 14th – 25th March 2022 during ‘Working Days’ 09.30 – 14.30.
There is a long official diversion route involving the A518, A41, and A53.
Please do take care if you decide to use country lanes instead.

Closure of the A442 from Wrekin District Council Boundary to Radmoor Crossroads
These works planned by Shropshire Council are now in a state of advanced planning, meaning that they are expected to start in the next 3 months. The information on these works is still not set in stone and is liable to change before commencing. At present there is no information available on diversion routes or exact timings of closures.
The dates for the works are currently given as 14 – 28 March 2022
Hodnet Roadworks 24 November 2021
Openreach will be working on Shrewsbury Street, in the vicinity of the Station Road roundabout.
There will be 2-way traffic signals and delays are possible.
Volunteers sought to share views about Shropshire’s highways service
Shropshire residents are being asked to help with work to improve Shropshire’s roads, by volunteering to take part in some research.
Shropshire Council and its contractors are working hard to improve the county’s highways and make them safer for all road users. As part of this work volunteers are being sought to suggest and talk about changes they would like to see made to the council’s highways service, and the ways the county’s roads and pavements are maintained.

Hodnet – Wollerton Roadworks 12 July 2021
OpenReach are carrying out work from the end of Drayton Road, Hodnet and the Crossroads, Wollerton, between 08.30 and 15.00.
There will be two-way traffic signals and delays are possible.
A41 Roadworks 1-2 July 2021
From Bletchley Dual Carriageway End to Upper College Junction.
There will be two-way traffic signals so delays are likely.
A53 Roadworks 30 June 2021
Between Hopton Church Junction and the Espley Roundabout, by Airband Community Internet.
There will be two-way signals and delays are possible.
A49 Closure 17-18 June 2021
The A49 will be closed from 09.30 on 17th June to 16.00 on 18th June between Grinshill junction and Lee Brockhurst junction for the urgent repair of carriageway defects.
There is the usual A41/A53 proposed diversion route.
