Oh deep joy and happiness, multi-way traffic lights at the Drayton Road/Shrewsbury Street/Church Street junction while Openreach dig up the road.

Delays are likely.

In Shawbury, between 09.30 and 16.00 each day, for urgent carriageway repairs. Access will be available to buses, emergency vehicles, local businesses and residents.

There is the usual long diversion via the A41 & A49. Take care on local roads.

Abbots Way is due to be closed to enable Western Power to dig a long trench in the road and verge to divert a cable.

Diversion signs are in place.

An urgent road closure from the end of Bletchley Dual Carriageway to Upper College Junction, Whitchurch, between 09.30 and 16.00 to repair carriage defects.

Access will be maintained for nurses, emergency vehicles, local businesses and residents.

The diversion route is the usual long A53/A49 one. It’s likely therefore that there will be increased traffic on local roads, particularly through Hodnet and Marchamley, so do take extra care.

The A49 will be closed between 09.30 and 16.00 from Grinshill Junction to Lee Brockhurst Junction for the urgent repair of carriageway defects.

Apparently access will be given to HGVs, buses and emergency vehicles as well as to local businesses.

The optimistically posted diversion route is via the A53/A41 so take care on local roads, especially for increased traffic through Hodnet and Marchamley.

On the Drayton Road, by the Lostford Lane junction. There will be two-way signals while a damaged sign is replaced. Delays are possible.

Between the Wrekin District Boundary and the A53 Espley Roundabout.

Airband Community Internet will be clearing blockages at multiple locations. There will be two-way signals and delays are possible.

Severn Trent will be digging up the road outside The Bear and The Hundred House.

Multi-way signals are likely to cause delays.

A couple of sets early this week:

On the A442 between Radmoor crossroads and the Espley roundabout poles are being installed. There will be two-way signals and delays are possible.

Mickley Lane will be shut so that Severn Trent can put in a new water pipe outside Oak Tree Farm. There is a lengthy diversion.

In Shawbury, between Shawbury Garden Centre and the Mytton Lane junction.

The road will be CLOSED, Monday – Friday, between 09:00 and 16:30 for resurfacing.

The diversion route – A49, A41 – is unfortunately long.
